Academy of Flamenco Guitar. Chuck Keyser, Director. Chuck's Academy puts out a very comprehensive flamenco guitar course. I consider it the Ph.D. course on traditional gypsy flamenco guitar. Chuck and I first met in 1967 in Isla Vista while I was an undergraduate at UC Santa Barbara. At that time I took some flamenco guitar lessons from him. I had been playing classical guitar for about 4 years and had had flamenco guitar instruction from Maestro Sesoko. What Chuck taught me about the structure of flamenco music was a complete revelation. It totally altered my understanding of flamenco and I am very grateful.
